ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE

For this live project we were tasked with redesigning a community arts centre based within a Grade-II listed building in Pontypridd. This project was done in partnership with an architectural student. Some of the main obstacles that needed to be tackled were a tired cafe, an inconvenient circulation path for wheelchair users and insufficient toilet access when there was shows on. In this project I was better able to understand what it means for a building to be listed and I also enjoyed working with an architectural student to better understand an architectural approach to design.
